"A Baroque New Year's Eve at the Opera" will usher in the New Year at San Francisco's beautiful Herbst Theatre. Soprano Nola Richardson makes her NYE debut, and back by popular demand, mezzo-soprano Sarah Coit, who brought the house down last year with her incomparable vocal pyrotechnics, will return for an encore performance. Jeffrey Thomas, who "draws crisp, vital playing from the ace baroque instrumentalists of American Bach Soloists" (Opera News), will conduct with his characteristic brio.
