Dvořák, Symphony No. 9: From the New World
The San Francisco Philharmonic invites you to a night of classical music inspired by the diverse, dynamic people and places of the United States. We're delighted to be joined by Ani Bukujian, principal second violin with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, who will perform Barber's soaring Violin Concerto--it's sure to wow listeners. Then, we'll present Dvořák's New World Symphony, first performed in 1893 and taken along--as a recording--by Neil Armstrong to the moon. Don't miss this evening of music!
